I started thinking about how I could make these cool hairwraps so that they could be easily and quickly put in hair. After all, the way the ladies along the beaches do it is too labor-intensive to sell it profitably in hair salons, for example. And the results speak for themselves! I design and make the most beautiful hairwraps, from good quality (glitter) wire, with integrated microring at the top. This makes them very easy to place. The length of the hairwrap is less than 40-60 cm (including feather) and they are easy to shorten so they look great on girls with shorter hair. To finish them off nicely I used different kinds of beads, charms and feathers. The hairwraps can be washed with the hair so they can stay in place for a long time. If the child has very fine hair, attach a small clip or elastic to the hairwrap for extra hold. The IBIZA Hairwraps need to be adjusted to the correct length, so the bottom micro ring may still be loose. Be gentle! It’s okay if the spring falls off because it needs to be removed anyway to shorten the wrap. Keep this in mind. Use pliers without sharp teeth, as sharp edges can damage the threads. Test by squeezing firmly with the pliers at the loose threads at the bottom of the hairwrap. If the threads stay intact, the pliers are suitable. Take a hair section that isn’t too thin. For fine hair, choose a slightly larger section to ensure the hairwrap holds well. When closing the micro ring, make sure the natural hair and the hairwrap lie directly on top of each other or neatly side by side. If they form a V shape and you close the micro ring like that, the hairwrap may slip out — which is a shame. Close the micro ring firmly. Attach a loose (included) micro ring to the hair loop or hook needle. Slide this micro ring onto the same hair section as the hairwrap is attached to, then slide it upwards. Close the micro ring tightly. If the hairwrap is attached to a thin hair section, pick up a small section of hair directly under the original one and combine them. Slide the micro ring onto this combined section, slide it up, and close tightly. This keeps the hairwrap securely in place. After applying, you can shorten the hairwrap length. Remove the spring, slide the beads, charm, and micro ring upwards to the desired length. (The silicone ring inside the clamp may remain; this is fine and does not need to be replaced.) Reinsert the spring between the micro ring and clamp and close the clamp firmly. Make sure the spring points inward. You can trim a part of the spring’s stem before reinserting it, especially for small children or if the stem is bent. Don’t forget to trim any part of the spring’s stem that sticks out above the micro ring. This keeps the beads nicely aligned above the spring. You can also trim any excess hairwrap hanging down after shortening. The hairwraps can be washed with the hair. When wet, the spring looks like a thin thread but will dry nicely. Generally, the springs will come off before the hairwrap itself. The springs are more delicate and can be damaged during brushing or caught in zippers. Don’t cut the hairwrap too short; this way, especially for small children, they still have a beautiful hairwrap about as long as their hair. When properly applied and maintained, an IBIZA Hairwrap can last for weeks. Slide the micro ring onto the hair strand, slide it about 1 cm towards the scalp, and pinch it tight with pliers (photo 4). Now add another loose micro ring to your hair loop and crochet needle and grab the same strand of hair where you just attached the tinsel, including the tinsel strands. Slide the micro ring onto this strand and slide the micro ring upwards until it can't go further and pinch it tight. You will now see two micro rings stacked on top of each other (photo 5 and 6).
